Fees
Individual sessions are 1 hour long and cost $150 per individual or $160 per couple.
Fee Coverage
Unfortunately, psychotherapy services are not currently covered by OHIP.
Most work benefit packages do cover limited EAP counselling or limited private psychotherapy services offered either by a licensed psychologist or social worker. I am a licensed social worker, so please check your benefit package to see if it covers social work services. Psychotherapy also counts as a health expense for taxation purposes.
Initial Free Consultation
I offer a free 15 minute consultation which can be in person or over the phone. This consultation is an opportunity for you to get to know how comfortable you feel with me, and to ask me any questions about counseling or my psychotherapy work. The consultation is also an opportunity for me to assess whether I have the knowledge and skills I need to help you.
Payment
Payment is due at the end of each session. I accept cash or cheques. Receipts are provided upon request.
Cancelling Appointments and Missed Appointments
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. This means that you will need to provide me with 24 hour notice prior to your appointment if you need to cancel. If you do not provide 24 hours notice you will be charged for the missed appointment.
